Dear Merv,
I would like to offer you a letter of reference to assist your excellent fondue service. I met you in November of 1995 when I had heard about your service. The Diabetes Educators Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association was holding its national conference in Regina in September, 1996, for about 500 diabetes education professionals. The menu was easy and so was putting together an unforgettable evening for the people from across Canada. The coordination of bussing from all the major hotels to the Red Barn, to the Pow Wow dancers, two live bands, covered tents with seating to accommodate everyone, the ever entertaining Boma Skyline Riders was beyond all expectations that anyone could anticipate. We can't forget the linedancers and the Saskatchewan sunset that so many people never see in the big cities.

It may have been three years ago, but the educators of Canada have not forgotten the experience of Merv's Pitchfork Fondue at the Red Barn that September evening. I never once had to question if every angle and detail had been covered, Merv always had it all under control! The Pitchfork Fondue is truly a Saskatchewan experience and one that should not be missed when coming to Saskatchewan for an event!

Thank you Merv, for one awesome event. Your catering and coordinating expertise was superb!

Your coordination and preparation of the fine meal on Tuesday July 15/97, was much appreciated.The conference delegates spoke highly of the Fondue and really enjoyed their visit to Moose Jaw. For many, yours was their first pitchfork fondue and, hoped, not their last. It was great western hospitality at its finest.

Those of us who organized the conference realize that the very positive response we received was due, in no small part, to your involvement.

Dear Merv,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of reference for Merv's Pitchfork Fondue.

In June of 1998, the City of Regina hosted the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Annual Conference. About 1,500 mayors, reeves, councillors, and other civic leaders from across the country converged on our community for the event. One of the social events we organized for them was a Celebrate the CFL evening at Taylor Field.

To feed our large group, we turned to Merv's Pitchfork Fondue and could not have been happier with our decision. The group was extremely impressed, not only with the quality of the steaks, but also with the unique manner in which they were cooked. The side dishes added the perfect touch. Everyone was happy with how quickly such a large group was served.

As organizers, we were very impressed with how little work we had to do for the meal. Merv included everything from the plates and cutlery to the clean-up. He was also terrific to work with.

I would highly recommend Merv's Pitchfork Fondue for any function large or small.
